“For decades, many Americans have been fascinated by objects mysterious and unexplained and it’s long past time they get some answers.” (July 2023)

“The American public has a right to learn about technologies of unknown origins, non-human intelligence, and unexplainable phenomena.” (July 2023)

Chuck Schumer, the senior United States Senator from New York and current Senate Majority Leader, has been a prominent figure in advancing the UAP issue in Congress. As a Democrat, Schumer has served in the Senate since 1999 and has held various leadership positions within his party. In July 2023, he introduced the UAP Disclosure Act, a bipartisan effort to declassify government records related to unidentified anomalous phenomena. This legislation, modeled after the JFK Assassination Records Collection Act, aims to increase transparency and further open scientific research on UAPs. Schumer’s involvement in this issue demonstrates a significant shift in how high-ranking politicians are approaching the topic of UAPs.
