Ralph Blumenthal is an American journalist and author known for his investigative reporting, particularly on UFOs. A longtime reporter for The New York Times, Blumenthal was part of the team that broke the 2017 story revealing the Pentagon’s secretive Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), which investigated UFO sightings by military personnel. He has also authored books on organized crime, Nazi war criminals, and his latest, The Believer: Alien Encounters, Hard Science, and the Passion of John Mack, focuses on the Harvard psychiatrist who researched the abduction phenomena.
